Sometimes you have to know when to abandon a project and start fresh. That's what I've done for my Bleeding Heart. I worked on a piece on and off since October but never liked the direction it went. Then I found two sketches from years ago and I liked them better. So I scrapped and restarted.
Decided to make the woman dark-skinned, and found a photo reference for her face. The piece is still in its beginning stages but I'm happy with the color palette and how her expression is emerging.
